Well we made it to the playoffs but with the rain they were delayed for a while. We played our first playoff game on Monday. We won our first game and immediately had to play another which we won 14-6. Zach hit the ball and ended up getting a triple!! Awesome job Zach!! After winning 2 games on Monday we had to play on Tuesday. It was really hot. They kids were tired from the night before and we lost 16-6. Way to go Rays you had a awesome season!!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to Brian, Josh and Justin. I hope you all had a wonderful and relaxing day! We had a great day. Josh and Rachel asked us to come down to their home for dinner. I thought this was great idea because IKEA is not far from their house. I have been dying to go there. Every time we head to St. George Brian always says on the way back. We are always in to big of a hurry to get home or they are already closed. I told Brian that we could leave early and go to IKEA and look around and he agreed! YEA!! Well first of all we had to go to Ben Lomond Golf Course to see if they won anything in the tournament the day before. They didn't win anything but he had money there and bought me a cute track suit!! Then we had to stop at Eagle Mountain in Bountiful to spend his winnings. Now he is worse than a woman shopping we were there for about an hour. He ending up getting a dozen balls and tees. Then we had to stop at Galaxy Golf in SLC to let Zach spend his $20.00 gift card. Zach hunted and Brian looked for about an hour. Zach bought a water globe that has a golf tee and golf ball in it. You must try to get the ball on the tee. It's not easy, we have yet to do it. OK on to IKEA, finally!! Did I mention we have to be to Josh and Rachel's at 5:00? IKEA parking lot 4:00!! Zach was so excited to play with Maddie that he informed me I have 15 minutes. I took 30 and barely got to see any of the store:( Rachel and I are making plans for a day at IKEA!! We had a great time at their house!! Thanks for dinner, dessert and golf (of course) it was great!!

Mother's Day Garden

Just around Mother's Day I given some flowers. This is how it all started! OK, course Brian was gone golfing surprise surprise! I needed to get the flowers in the ground before they died so I thought great day to do it. I went and picked up some miracle grow and some wood chips. So I plant the flowers and step back and take a look. I hate how this looks. HMMM what can I do? Well my neighbor was outside and I talked to her about my dilemma. She said hey I got a saw. So I sawed off all the bushes and went for it! I called in the troops for support to get the roots out but you know how that goes. Jason did come over after I had pulled out 3 with only one left to go. Now, Brian is gone and the only thing I have is flowers. Oops!! Didn't think that far ahead. Brian does not like change nor does he like to come home to change in progress!! So with Jason and Athena we take off to Wal-Mart!! There I find 4 bushes and some solar lights. Great deal on the lights 8 for $6.00. Gotta love those clearance deals! Jason and Athena put some towards the garden for Mother's Day and Tyler and Mykala brought over more flowers to plant! Awesome it is coming together. Needless to say we completed the garden and cleaned up before Brian got home. Did he notice? Took him a while but he loves it. Of course he would, he didn't have to get his hands dirty! The flowers have bloomed and gotten so big since I planted them. What a difference it has made to the yard. I have already planned the next garden. Can't wait for the next golf game. LOL What a great Mother's Day!

One Project Down--A Million To Go!!

Well, it is finally finished! It took a couple of days but it was well worth it. Zach is happy to have a new room. He really needed something different to brighten it up. Thanks mom for your help. I know you really enjoyed dropping everything and coming over to help me pick out paint. I was really worried at first but everything came together. Here are the before and after pictures. Let me know what you think of the new room.

This is a little something for the "golf widows." While I was trying to finish up Brian (the golfer) decided to go and play 9 holes. Note this was MY project no golfers helped! I told him to go and have fun while I stayed home and worked. Brian then informed me and I quote "Golf is harder than anything you are doing here." "Golf is a lot of hard work." Well maybe another golfer would understand this but not a wife who has been painting and cleaning for the last couple of weeks! I think maybe I will go to "work" out there on the course and forget the cleaning, laundry and the kids for a day!! Anyone game??

We Made It To The Playoffs!!

Sorry it has been so long. To start off Zach has been doing really well with his baseball. The season has ended and we are now in the playoffs!! We won our first game Monday against the White Sox 9-4. It was a great game. Zach is doing great playing the catcher. We are really proud of him!!

We went to dinner with Josh, Rachel Maddy, Hayden (Josh Jr.) and Grace. It was fun to spend some time with them. We went to El Matador. It guess you could call it the Hood Hangout cause we all like it so much. We found out quickly that you should never go on a Saturday night. We had the worst service we have ever had. The kids had it great their food came out about 30 minutes before ours did. What a night!! It was great taking a night off from cleaning (me) and unpacking (Rachel). We both got to get dressed for the first time in about a week!!

I am currently working on a project!! Zach's room needed a little attention. I have had a border for his room for a while now. I got a great deal on clearance for 1.00 a roll so I grabbed it. Then while at Wal-Mart the other day he found a cute comforter. He has had the same one for about 6+ years. After cleaning his room I decided to put it all together for him. I measured this time instead of just going doing it unlike the last time, trust me not a good idea. I was about 2 feet short!! Of course you know nothing can be that easy, at least for me. So this turned into a new idea instead of just putting up the border. This is new to me so I hope it turns out cute. Thanks mom for coming over to check out paint samples and then coming back over to see if it looks ok. This has become my first summer project and probably not the last!! Look out Brian! I will post before and after pictures as soon as it is done.
